Does anyone have the Charms notes from yesterday? I need to borrow them from someone so I can write them up... I'm so annoyed with myself, I went up to my room to get another pot of ink after lunch, and laid down on my bed just for a second, and promptly fell asleep and missed it.
Anyway, if anyone does that'd be a great help - I have a box of sugar quills just burning to be exchanged ;) |

I didn't think the warm weather would last long. There was a huge thunderstorm last night - call me weird, but I love thunderstorms. I sat on the windowsill and watched the lightning, listened to the thunder... it was nice. They're calming, I find. Of course, being in a thunderstorm is an entirely different matter, I'm sure.
I think I'm going to make a stand by going to the ball dateless. I'm honestly getting a bit tired of all these girls panicking because nobody has asked them yet, so I'll make a stand. You don't have to have a boy on your arm to have fun. A few people have asked me, but I've turned them down in protest - any other girls with me? A couple of my friends have agreed to have a no-date rule with me. We'll just all go with each other! :) Should be pretty fun!

The weather is treating us well at the moment, isn't it? Glorious sunshine three days in a row. Hopefully it'll stick around for the rest of the weekend. I was even able to wear a skirt when I went for a walk after classes yesterday, which was a first for what seems like months. And I think I'll go and do my Charms homework by the lake after I've written this.
Still, it'll probably be raining soon enough! This is Britain, after all.
How many rolls of parchment did everyone do for that Potions essay by the way? I did 6, I hope it's enough...
That Halloween Ball is coming up soon as well, isn't it? Is it fancy dress? I suppose it must be. I'll have to give my costume some thought if it is.
